TUCSON, ARIZ. (AP) - Arizona ace Brandon Webb had another shaky outing in a 13-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Saturday.

Webb allowed four runs and seven hits in four innings, walking two and striking out five. His spring training ERA rose to 8.18 after the 80-pitch outing.

Kansas City starter Gil Meche also struggled, giving up three runs and eight hits in 3 2-3 innings. He struck out three, walked two and committed a balk in an 82-pitch start.

Royals relievers Tim Hamulack, Jamey Wright, Roman Colon and Yasuhiko Yabuta did not allow an earned run the rest of the way.

Mitch Maier, Mark Teahen and Tommy Murphy each had three of Kansas City’s 22 hits. Billy Butler homered and drove in five runs for the Royals.
