CHEYENNE, WYO. (AP) - A blizzard is turning Wyoming white.

Snow covered most of the state Monday, with up to 20 inches expected in the eastern region and warnings posted for central Wyoming.

Parts of Interstate 90 near Sheridan, Buffalo and Gillette were closed Monday. No unnecessary travel was advised in the Gillette area.

In Nebraska, forecasters said rain will turn to snow later Monday in the Panhandle, with accumulations ranging of up to 7 inches by early Tuesday. Wind gusts up to 55 mph are likely.

Strong wind and thunderstorms are expected elsewhere in Nebraska later Monday and overnight into Tuesday.
