CHICAGO (AP) - Agriculture futures dropped in midday trading Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery slid 10.5 cents to $5.04 a bushel, while May corn shed 4.75 cents to $3.86 a bushel. May oats sank 4.25 cents to $1.9275 a bushel, and soybeans for May delivery lost 21 cents to $9.23.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle added 0.43 cent to 84.70 cents a pound, while May feeder cattle rose 0.05 cent to 95 cents a pound. April lean hogs gained 0.18 cent to 60.70 cents a pound, and May pork bellies climbed 0.95 cent to 85.95 cents a pound.
