AUBURN HILLS, MICH. (AP) - Detroit Pistons guard Allen Iverson played Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers after missing 16 games with a back injury.

Pistons coach Michael Curry said before the game that Iverson might play, and he checked into the game to replace Tayshaun Prince with 2:51 left in the first quarter and Detroit leading Iverson’s former team 25-23.

Iverson, who was acquired from Denver for Chauncey Billups in an early-season trade, is averaging 18 points in 54 games.
