ANALYSIS/OPINION:

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Rush Limbaugh and other wealthy conservative Republicans are the beneficiaries of society’s social injustice (“Rush to Rush,” Commentary, Friday). That is the main reason they always resist change that involves government social programs. When Republicans are entrenched in power, the rich minority usually gets richer while the rest of society does not fare nearly as well. Social programs usually take a hit and are often eliminated. It is no wonder why the Republicans hate to relinquish power to Democrats.

Capitalism is not all good and socialism is not all bad. The American economy would do well to combine the best ideas and practices from both systems, which would better serve the common good of all citizens. The evil greed that pervades capitalism needs to be eliminated if “justice for all” is to be achieved.
