How did you get started in real estate? A couple of close friends decided to take the course. They never finished, and I passed with flying colors.

How long with the current company? Since 2007

Licenses: Licensed in Maryland and the District

Associations: Prince George’s Association of Realtors

Awards: Rookie of the Year; Platinum Award winner, multiple years

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Being elected to the local board of directors

Area of specialty: Residential sales in Maryland and the District, as well as land and waterfront properties

Highest-priced home sold: $1,250,000

Most memorable house: There was a nice chalet-style home in Croom, which had a peacock that had lived on the land for many years. I thought this would present a problem for my clients given how loud a peacock can be, but my clients loved the bird.

Worst experience buying or selling a house: I listed a home that had a spring under the house, so at any given moment, water would flow through the family room. The seller kept all her furniture raised on cinder blocks, it was quite a sight to see for any buyer or agent. I’m not sure if people didn’t believe the disclosures about a river in the basement or they really wanted to be in that area because this home had a ton of showings and sold.

Age: 44

Family: Single

Pets: 2 Rottweilers, named Kaila and Kasey

Education: Associate’s degree from Prince George’s Community College

Community service/outside interests: I’ve participated in Harvest for the Hungry, the Heart Association’s annual drive, Habitat for Humanity, as well as programs to help feed our less fortunate neighbors in Prince George’s County. When I’m not working or volunteering, I spend time with my nieces and nephews - Troya, Delani, Jalen and Nicklaus.

Last book read: “The Instant Millionaire: A Tale of Wisdom and Wealth” by Mark Fisher

Last movie seen: “Slumdog Millionaire”

What kind of car do you drive? Mercedes S500

Describe your personal dream house: A rustic chalet-style home sitting on 10-plus acres of land with a private driveway, guest house and stocked pond - away from the main road so I can acquire more pets!
