Winchester Homes Inc. is building 773 single-family homes and town homes in three phases of development at Poplar Run in Silver Spring.

Plans call for miles of fitness trails, three swimming pools and a 6,000-square-foot club in the 308-acre community, which will have 50 percent open green space.

Each single-family home in this Montgomery County community will include four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and a two-car garage.

Standard features include hardwood floors; 9-foot ceilings; a gas fireplace; 42-inch cabinets, granite counters and double wall ovens in the center-island kitchen; ceramic tile floors in the baths; a luxury master bath; a high-tech wiring system; a programmable thermostat; dual-zone gas heat; and a gas water heater.

The single-family homes have about 3,600 finished square feet with base prices from the upper $600,000s.

The Thornbury model, with 3,608 square feet, is priced from the upper $600,000s. This home features a two-story foyer leading into the main hall. An open formal dining room and a formal living room flank the hall, which has a central staircase.

The main level includes a study with a bay window and a family room, which opens to the breakfast area and kitchen. This level also has a half bath.

Upstairs, the master suite has a separate sitting area, two walk-in closets and a luxury bath.

The fourth bedroom has a private full bath. Two more bedrooms, a second full bath and a laundry room complete this level.
