In case you didn’t tune into The Washington Times’ nationally syndicated radio show “America’s Morning News” - heard in Washington on WTNT-AM 570 and coast-to-coast via the Talk Radio Network - here’s what three of Monday’s guests told co-hosts Melanie Morgan and John McCaslin:

• Retired Army Col. David Hunt, a counterterrorism specialist and Fox News contributor: Col. Hunt said President Obama is facing “potential disaster” in Afghanistan, particularly if the president sees a role for the Taliban in the country’s future.

• Andrea Tantaros, a Fox News columnist and contributor: Miss Tantaros said every time House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “opens her mouth … she’s causing serious damage to her [Democratic] Party” and Mrs. Pelosi has failed in her promise to “drain the swamp” by cleaning up ethics violations.

• Thomas A. Bowden, an analyst focusing on legal issues at the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights and author of “The Enemies of Christopher Columbus”: Mr. Bowden said the deeper meaning of Columbus Day is to celebrate the rational core of Western civilization, which flourished in the New World like a pot-bound plant liberated from its confining shell, exemplifying man at his best.
