Oct. 29, 1978: The Washington Redskins turned to 16-year veteran Billy Kilmer to revive a floundering season, and the quarterback delivered with a two-touchdown performance in a 38-20 win over San Francisco. But his renaissance was short-lived. The next week, he went 2-for-11 against the Colts before being yanked in the third quarter for Joe Theismann.
