ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Though President Obama failed to secure the 2016 Olympics for Chicago, I believe there’s a far better cause that calls out for presidential intervention.

Scores of Americans want the day after the Super Bowl off from work. With National Football League Commissioner Roger S. Goodell pushing for a 17-game regular season that could extend into mid-February, I propose that Mr. Obama encourage the NFL owners to move the Super Bowl to Presidents Day weekend so the lion’s share of the population can have the next day off to recuperate from partying.

If he did this, he would have bipartisan support. Seeing as he would be addressing mostly wealthy capitalists who love America, he wouldn’t have to grovel and apologize about how bad our country is, as he does routinely in front of foreign audiences.
