ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Health care is a moral issue, all right. But contrary to President Obama’s thinking, it’s freedom that is good and Mr. Obama’s dictates, mandates, prohibitions and subsidies that are odious. The president sees nothing wrong with stripping us of freedom of choice and making us helpless wards of the state, bound hand and foot, unable to appeal even to the courts. He sees nothing wrong with plundering industries and giving the loot to his cronies. All of our current economic problems stem from decades of government interference in the market, and now Mr. Obama hopes to force a fatal dose of the same poison down our throats. His roots, it seems, are not in the Declaration of Independence but in the Communist Manifesto.
