ANALYSIS/OPINION:

While I appreciate Thomas J. Ryan’s “kudos” for my Op-Ed on U.S. policy toward Honduras (“Lessons from Nicaragua,” Opinion, Sunday), I could not disagree more with Mr. Ryan’s characterization of President Obama as “radical on both the foreign and domestic fronts” (“Some Democrats have level heads,” Letters, Tuesday). The president, whom I supported from the outset of his campaign, has demonstrated himself to be a pragmatic centrist, and I expect him to go down in history as one of our great presidents. From my point of view, the Honduras policy is an aberration.
