The Christopher Cos. is building 35 single-family homes at Christopher at Gunston Cove in Lorton, a community with open spaces located close to Lorton Station and Fort Belvoir.

Each home in this Fairfax County community will include a traditional, Queen Anne or Craftsman-style exterior with beaded vinyl siding, a 30-year architectural shingle roof and a two-car garage.

Inside, both models feature four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths; hardwood floors; 9-foot ceilings; crown moldings; a gas fireplace; 42-inch cabinets and granite counters in the kitchen; ceramic tile floors in the baths; a luxury master bath; a high-tech wiring system; a rough-in for a lower-level bath; and gas heat and hot water.

Both models have approximately 2,460 finished square feet, with base prices from $454,990. Homeowner association fees are $180 per quarter.

The Red Oak model features a front porch with columns. Inside is a two-story foyer and a formal dining room with a double window and optional columns.

At the back of the home are an open great room with a fireplace, a center-island kitchen and a breakfast area, all wrapped in walls of windows. The main level also has a laundry room and a half-bath.

Upstairs, the master suite has an oversized walk-in closet and a luxury bath.

Three more bedrooms, a second full bath and a reading or computer nook complete this level.

Options include finished lower levels; decorative columns; a tray ceiling in the master bedroom; a gourmet kitchen; and upgraded flooring, appliances and cabinets.
