How did you get started in real estate? I was a freelance video producer, but I decided that real estate was where the action was rather than sitting in dark editing rooms.

How long with the current company? Four months

Licenses and designations: Licensed in the District, Maryland and Virginia; Green Designation, National Association of Realtors (NAR)

Associations: Northern Virginia Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors

Awards: Team Award Winner, the Bryan Group; Mid-Atlantic Condo Conversion Sales Leader; MAME Award 2007

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: My greatest accomplishment was swimming and helping to save the whales (with www.savethewhalesagain.org). Plus, I managed to actually sell some homes!

Area of specialty: Green realty; I really like the Bloomingdale area, but I grew up in Georgetown. My specialty is working with international, picky customers.

Highest-priced home sold: $1,700,000

Most memorable house: The “net-zero” energy house designed by Meditch Murphey Architects that I recently sold is a testament to eco-chic. Tim Rooney from All Around Technology is designing a seriously cool integrated home theater system, and the client is an interior designer to boot.

Worst experience buying or selling a house: Selling a shell in Baltimore: I hired my brother as a contractor, and he fell through the floor. There were too many rats to count. It was the worst experience ever.

Age: 35

Family: In a relationship, hoping to create a family soon

Pets: I am looking for the perfect pooch. Any suggestions? Facebook me!

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mass communication studies from York College in York, Pa., 1995

Community affiliations/community service: Volunteer, Big Brothers Big Sisters; mentor, D.C. Public Schools; Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now

Last book read: “The Training of the Zen Buddhist Monk” by Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki

Last movie seen:”An Affair to Remember”

What kind of car do you drive? I am shopping for a hybrid car.

Describe your personal dream house: A three-bedroom home with two or more baths in Takoma Park, less than 2,500 square feet with pimped-out green features (such as solar panels, solar hot water system, compost bins and rain barrels). It would be within walking distance to Metro and the Takoma Park Silver Spring Food Co-op and have a garden out back to grow veggies and space for kids to play - all for less than $375,000.
