If you didn’t tune into The Washington Times’ nationally syndicated radio show “America’s Morning News” — heard in Washington on WTNT-AM 570 and coast-to-coast via the Talk Radio Network — here’s what two of Wednesday’s guests told co-hosts Melanie Morgan and John McCaslin:

• John Tamny, editor of RealClearMarkets and a senior economist with H.C. Wainwright Economics: Mr. Tamny said the baseball card industry, in many ways, mirrors the ups and downs of the economy - from profit to anti-trust laws and inflation.

• Monica Crowley, syndicated talk-show host and conservative pundit: Ms. Crowley said there is speculation in certain quarters that the Obama administration, and indeed the president himself, could be purposely invoking fear about a deadly swine flu season in order to gain support for “Obamacare.”
