ANALYSIS/OPINION:

We cannot wait until it is too late to disarm Iran and many innocent people are killed (“Obama in happy fairyland,” Opinion, Monday).

We have placated tyrannical leaders such as the president of Iran in the past with disastrous results, and we must take a stand now and stop the threat before it happens. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad continues to voice an objective “to wipe Israel off the map” and provides support to the terrorist organizations that threaten not only Israel, but the rest of the free world as well.

Do we have to incur another Sept. 11 before we wake up? We must take the necessary steps, through economic blockades, to prevent Iran from achieving its goals of world domination and destruction. When the people of Iran realize that they are victims of their leader’s actions, maybe they will do something to solve their own problems. The only way to kill a snake is to cut off its head.
