How did I get started in real estate? I transitioned from a career in marketing and graphics, which was a good skills match. As a Realtor, I use my previous knowledge of marketing to help promote and sell my listings.

How long have you been with the current company? Five years

Licenses and designations: Residential Realtor, authorized Leisure World specialist

Associations: Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR), National Association of Realtors (NAR), Maryland Association of Realtors (MAR)

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Organized a clothing drive for the homeless this winter

What is your area of specialty? I enjoy working with seniors in particular, but I also list and sell in other markets.

Most memorable house: I listed and sold a home that I found very appealing because it had several unique features, including lush gardens and landscaping, attractive and large interior living spaces, several water features and inviting outdoor spaces.

Worst experience buying or selling a home: I was working with a client who told me they had to look at 100 houses before they would make a purchase. I enjoyed their company very much, but not enough to justify that many houses.

Family: Husband and two sons, Eric and Kevin

Pets: A small lizard named Norbert

Outside interests: Greater Olney Toastmasters, Toastmasters International, Church of the Redeemer, ongoing volunteer outreach in a homeless shelter

Last book read: “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett

Last movie seen: “Crazy Heart”

What kind of car do you drive? Toyota

Describe your personal dream home: My dream home would be situated on the ocean (or a body of water) with a breathtaking view from all rooms. (Location! Location! Location!) The main gathering area would be a spacious kitchen adjoining an inviting great room to share with family and friends. Walls of windows fill the rooms with sunlight and overlook the ocean views. Step outside to a large patio and outdoor living space. Different walkways lead to lush garden areas filled with flowers and plantings and benches to enjoy.
