Beazer Homes is building 212 single-family homes on 10,000-square-foot sites at Somerset Farm in Locust Grove, Va., a resortlike community with a golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts and tot lots adjacent to the Rapidan River. A Virginia Railway Express station is about 20 minutes from the development.

Each home in this Orange County community will include a low-maintenance exterior with 25-year fiberglass roof shingles, professional landscaping and a two-car garage.

All five models feature three or four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, resilient flooring in the foyer, 9-foot ceilings on the main level, 42-inch oak cabinets in the kitchen, a pedestal sink in the powder room, and ceramic tile tubs and shower surrounds in the baths. Energy-saving features include low-E windows, a home energy monitor, a programmable thermostat, water-saving faucets and showerheads, high-efficiency air filters, and low-VOC-emission paints and carpeting.

The homes have from 1,447 to 3,067 finished square feet, with base prices from $199,990 to $249,990. Homeowner association fees are $56 per month.

The Harrison model, with 2,093 square feet, is priced from $219,990. This home features a front porch that opens into a two-story foyer. Adjacent to the foyer is a formal dining room with a double front window.

Across the back of the home are a great room, a breakfast area and kitchen with a walk-in pantry. Nearby are a powder room and closet, along with stairs to the upper and lower levels.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet, a second closet and a private bath. Three more bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet, a second full bath and a laundry room complete this level. Buyers can replace the fourth bedroom with an open loft.

Options include finished lower levels, sunrooms, a luxury master bath, fireplaces, a center-island kitchen, extra windows and lofts.
