ANALYSIS/OPINION:

I have liked all of Jeffrey T. Kuhner’s syndicated columns except for his negativity on Sarah Palin (“Sarah sells out,” Commentary, Friday). His gratuitous assertions can just as easily be gratuitously denied.

On his radio program, Mr. Kuhner said he would not read Mrs. Palin’s 400-plus-page memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life.” To me, that shows prejudice and says Mr. Kuhner does not do his homework. Mrs. Palin is no lightweight. She has five children, had two miscarriages and joyfully bore her last child, who is handicapped. She is a college graduate who has always been active physically, intellectually and politically. She was elected mayor of her hometown twice and became governor of Alaska. Her oldest son has served overseas in combat. Not too bad for a woman just in her mid-40s.

How many can do what Mrs. Palin has done? What kind of a capitalist is Mr. Kuhner, who criticized her for taking a paid job at Fox News Channel?
