The National Weather Service is warning of possible flooding in low-lying areas as 1 to 2 inches of rain fall in the area.

High winds are knocking down trees, and the Maryland Transit Administration reported that one MARC Camden Line train hit a tree on the tracks. Downed trees also are causing delays on the Brunswick Line.

A coastal flood warning has been issued for parts of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. A flash flood watch is in effect until 1 p.m. Monday. The weather service said streams and creeks could overflow their banks and roads and low-lying areas could flood.

Power companies in the region are reporting more than 30,000 customers without power.
