The editorial “Obama’s loose grip on reality” (Opinion, Tuesday) describes a failing presidency. President Obama is free-falling in his foreign policy, domestic initiatives and efforts to connect with the American people. This president knows very little about economics and seems to be illiterate regarding our nation’s history. He also seems not to understand that the people have elected him to serve them, not his socialist agenda.

“We, the people” have tried to understand Mr. Obama, who has an unrelenting need to spend our money with little or no good results. We have tried to understand his health care program, even when he accepts the fact that bribery has been committed by Congress to get the bill passed. Fortunately, our Founding Fathers provided us with a remedy to handle this situation: staggering the terms of both the Senate and the House, as well as the executive branch. Americans can vote out an unaware-of-reality Congress and then vote for president two short years later. A liberal such as Mr. Obama is so out of touch with the facts that he will give away everything he doesn’t own, if allowed.
