NEW YORK (AP) - The summer’s barely begun, but Katy Perry’s “California Girls” is already on pace to be the song of the season.

Billboard is tracking the summer’s most popular songs and, so far, Perry’s No. 1 hit is leading, followed by another ubiquitous song: Usher’s “OMG” featuring will.i.am.

In third place is B.o.B’s “Airplanes” featuring Hayley Williams. Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire” with Bruno Mars is fourth, and Ke$ha’s “Your Love Is My Drug” rounds out the top five.

Billboard started collecting data for the “summer” season Memorial Day Week and will crown the winner after Sept. 9.
