COLLEGE PARK, Md. | University of Maryland police have arrested six students for rowdy behavior on campus after the school’s March 3 win over Duke.

University of Maryland Department of Public Safety spokesman Paul Dillon says police served warrants last week to six students for charges including riot, disorderly conduct, destruction of property, arson and disturbing the peace.

Dillon says authorities reviewed surveillance and online videos and interviewed witnesses.

He says these arrests are separate from the 28 students initially arrested by Prince George’s County police at off-campus festivities. The county is investigating a video showing officers beating a student at that time.

Dillon says campus police did not use any force that night.
