ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — An official in Turkey says 16 people have been injured in a train crash in northwest Turkey.

Gov. Gokhan Sozer told state-run television a train derailed in Kocaeli province, crashing into another train traveling in the opposite direction.

One of the injured passengers is reported to be in serious condition.
