SPRINGFIELD, Va. | Police have arrested an 18-year-old Virginia man following a shooting at a hotel that left another man in life-threatening condition.

William C. Richards was arrested Sunday and charged with malicious wounding.

Police responded to reports of a shooting Saturday at a Courtyard Marriott hotel in Springfield. Police say uninvited visitors had tried to attend a party hosts had announced on Facebook.
