CLEVELAND (AP) - After weeks of buildup, Manny Ramirez is finally set to make his debut for the Chicago White Sox.

Ramirez is in manager Ozzie Guillen’s starting lineup Wednesday, batting fifth as the designated hitter for the series finale against the Indians. Ramirez joined the White Sox on Tuesday, but only got as far as the on-deck circle to pinch-hit in the ninth inning.

As he was waiting to bat, A.J. Pierzynski hit a three-run, tiebreaking homer as Chicago won 4-3.

Guillen says he has no concerns about Ramirez fitting in with the sometimes chaotic White Sox, who enter the day trailing first-place Minnesota by four games in the AL Central. The White Sox claimed Ramirez off waivers, hoping the slugger can help them reach the playoffs.
