The District’s monthlong campaign to fill potholes is ending Thursday with nearly 5,000 potholes filled, city officials say.

During the campaign, known as Potholepalooza, residents were asked to call, email or tweet the Department of Transportation with requests to fill potholes.

The agency will continue to take requests for pothole filling after the campaign ends, but the monthlong push is its biggest pothole-filling effort. The city last year filled about 7,690 potholes during Potholepalooza.
