WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities say several funnel clouds have been spotted in the mid-Atlantic area, but no injuries have been reported.

The National Weather Service received a report of a funnel cloud over Point of Rocks in Frederick County, Md., about 7 a.m. Thursday. It says trees are also down in Beallsville in Montgomery County.

Prince George’s County Fire Chief Marc Bashoor says he saw a funnel cloud near Andrews Air Force base on Wednesday night. Road signs in the area fell over, along with swing sets in yards. Tree branches and roofing shingles also littered Allentown Road near the base.

Funnel clouds were also seen in Prince William County, west of Quantico, and powerful winds were blamed for damage to a building at a shopping center in Bristow.
