ANALYSIS/OPINION:

As the Democrats work hard to paint all Republicans as heartless and uncaring about the needy, no one is mentioning Jack Scott, the Democratic mayor of Cordova, Ala.

Mr. Scott’s town has numerous Federal Emergency Management Agency trailers sitting around unused. But will he allow tornado victims to use them? No, because that would require him to waive a local ordinance that bans single-wide trailers in his town. Imagine the uproar if a Republican mayor had done that. Every Republican would have been called heartless.
