Grade: B

“For President Obama no major upsets this week — certainly not like the NCAA where the mighty are tumbling. His job approval is still in the high forties, even bouncing back from a low of 41 percent to 44 percent in the daily Gallup Poll. He still leads Republican front-runner Mitt Romney by a few points as he continues to take advantage of Republican disarray as they bite large chunks of meat out of each other. Good news on the economic front except for the continuing rise in gas prices, which are projected to go as high as $5 a gallon by this summer. My polling shows that anything over $4 could be a tipping for the president. Things in Afghanistan are spinning out of control; Iraq already is but is not on the radar screen. Mr. Obama is in full campaign mode and even got to look elegant and presidential with the visit of British Prime Minister David Cameron. So another good week for Mr. Obama.”
