MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Nineteen people were arrested after crowds flowed into the streets following the Gophers’ NCAA hockey title game loss.

Only a handful of people were booked into jail on various charges, and KSTP-TV reports one remained in custody Sunday afternoon.

Union College defeated Minnesota 7-4 Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Crowds spilled into Dinkytown near the University of Minnesota campus after the game.

Police say there were two known incidents of arson, and incidents of property damage. Police were armed with zip ties and nonlethal weapons that were fired into the crowd as a mounted patrol unit advanced and helicopters circled overhead.

University officials say Sunday that students who are found to have violated the code of conduct could face a range of sanctions, including possible expulsion.
