MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The League of Vermont Writers will be hosting its annual spring program in Rutland on the topic of pitching projects to literary agents.

It is called “All About Agents and Editors.” Organizers say it will prepare writers to meet and pitch their ideas to literary agents who visit Vermont during the July biennial Writers Meet Agents Event.

Among some of the speakers, Director of marketing and sales for the University Press of New England David Corey will discuss elements of a strong pitch, including structure, voice and language. Assistant editor at Chelsea Green Publishing Michael Metivier will discuss crafting a full book proposal.

The event costs $47 for league members and $55 for non-members and will be held at the Franklin Conference Center in Rutland on April 26.
