OAKLAND, N.J. (AP) - Police say someone broke a hole in a wall to rob a jewelry store in northern New Jersey.

The heist at Alpha Jewelry in Oakland took place over the weekend.

Police Lt. Christian Eldridge tells The Record (https://bit.ly/1hQGpaG ) newspaper the thief gained access after breaking through the wall of an adjacent real-estate agency.

Police did not say how much jewelry was taken.
