SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - A gun that Wyatt Earp is believed to have carried during the notorious O.K. Corral shootout is among several historic items up for auction in Scottsdale.

J. Levine Auction & Appraisal announced the Colt. 45-caliber revolver is among the Earp-related memorabilia going on the auction block Thursday evening.

Josh Levine says the items belonged to the estate of Glenn Boyer, a southern Arizona author who wrote several books on Earp.

Boyer died in February 2013.

Levine says the Colt is valued between $100,000 and $150,000 and comes with a sworn affidavit from Boyer declaring its historic authenticity.

Other items include Earp’s Winchester shotgun and a Colt revolver belonging to brother Virgil Earp.

Levine says more than 6,000 people have registered for the auction, which will be live-streamed on the Internet.
