BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Officials at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center are moving ahead with plans to provide more parking spaces at the facility.

Executive Director Bill Holmes tells WLOX TV (https://bit.ly/1kMqLmb ) that officials are anticipating construction of a new hotel on nearby property that will necessitate the replacement of a lot that now provides space for about 340 cars.

Holmes said the demolition of property where the new lot will go is estimated to begin the third week of May. It will take another four weeks for the parking lot to be ready.
