LEVITTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A suburban Philadelphia man has been charged with homicide in the death of his elderly father.

The Bucks County Courier Times (https://bit.ly/1i28Ymj ) reports that 44-year-old Jazs Bronner was charged Tuesday in the death of 73-year-old Orlando Bronner of Bristol Township.

Authorities said police called to the home shortly before noon Monday found the victim unconscious on the bedroom floor and bleeding.

Police said Bronner told officers that his father had fallen and hit his head on a dumbbell, but the medical examiner said he suffered at least four blows to the back of the head.

Officials said the younger man had been living in the home for about four months.

WPVI-TV reports that the defendant declined comment leaving court; it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
