PITTSFIELD, Wis. (AP) - Family and friends are planning a candlelight vigil and other events this week to mark the disappearance of a Pittsfield woman.

Victoria Prokopovitz (pro-KOH’-poh-vitz) vanished a year ago on April 25th. An exhaustive search hasn’t turned up any clues as to why the 60-year-old grandmother vanished without identification, money or a vehicle.

The missing woman’s daughter, Stacy Deer, tells Press-Gazette Media (https://gbpg.net/1eWGAqy ) she hopes the one-year anniversary will cause people to think again about whether they have seen Prokopovitz or whether they can remember any clues from past conversations with her. Deer says she’s starting to lose hope that the family will ever solve the mystery.

A $2,500 reward has been offered for information on her whereabouts.
