LIBERTY, Miss. (AP) - Liberty aldermen say a proposed annual budget for the town in southwest Mississippi will not require a tax increase.

The Enterprise-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1oh9t ) the proposal includes a 3 percent pay raise for town employees and appointed officials.

But it does not provide for a pay raise for elected officials.

Aldermen are scheduled to discuss the budget at a meeting on Sept. 2.
