PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Maine’s crow hunting season is underway and runs until Sept. 20.

Crow hunting is legal in all 29 of the state’s wildlife management districts. The season began on Aug. 1. There is no daily bag limit.

This year’s season is the last before changes to the timing of the season could take effect in 2015 and 2016. The state Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Commissioner’s Advisory Council is set to vote on the proposed changes on Aug. 15.

Crow season would take place from early February to mid-April and early August to late September in far northern Maine under the proposal. The proposed season in the rest of the state would run from late January to late March and early August to late September.
