CARROLLTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in Saginaw County say they’re investigating separate vehicle-pedestrian accidents that killed a 62-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman.

So far, neither victim’s name has been released.

The Saginaw News (https://bit.ly/VdlQS1 ) says a 62-year-old Bay City man was walking with friends about 11:45 p.m. Saturday when a van struck him. It happened in Carrollton Township, just north of Saginaw.

Township police say the man died about 4 a.m. Sunday at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. They say the 54-year-old man driving the van is cooperating with investigators.

The county sheriff’s department says a 58-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking from her home to a store. It happened Friday just before midnight in Chesaning Township.

The department says a 17-year-old boy was driving the vehicle and sustained minor injuries.
