NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a man has been arrested on murder and strangulation charges in the death of a Bronx woman.

The NYPD confirmed the arrest of Christopher Coachman on Monday.

The victim, 48-year-old Alexis Beck, was found in a bedroom of a Bronx apartment around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation continues.

There was no immediate information on the defendant’s attorney.
