BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say two young men are dead and another was seriously injured in a fiery single-vehicle crash in Montcalm County.

The Grand Rapids Press reports (https://bit.ly/1lOOrEE ) state troopers responded about 1 a.m. Monday to the crash in Belvidere Township, about 40 miles northeast of Grand Rapids.

Investigators believe a vehicle was traveling south when the 19-year-old driver veered off the road and into a tree. The vehicle soon was engulfed in flames.

The driver escaped and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The newspaper says a 19-year-old from Six Lakes and a 17-year-old from Mount Pleasant were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is under investigation by state police.
