ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum is hosting a forum later this month on the relevance of the Civil War in the modern world.

Director of the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs Camille Russell Love says the museum will host a panel of experts who will also participate in a question and answer session with visitors on Aug. 21.

The panelists include Atlanta Civil War historian Michael Shaffer, CEO of the Richmond, Virginia-based American Civil War Center, Christy Coleman, Assistant Director of the Washington, D.C.-based African American Civil War Memorial and Museum Hari Jones and more.

The event is free and open to the public.
