FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas coach Bret Bielema says linebacker Otha Peters will transfer away from the school.

Bielema tweeted the news following the Razorbacks first practice on Monday, and it was confirmed by a school spokesman - bringing Peters’ Arkansas career to an end after two seasons.

The junior played in seven games last season after breaking his arm during a preseason scrimmage, finishing with nine tackles. He was an All-Southeastern Conference freshman selection two years ago, making 32 tackles in 10 games, including three starts.

Bielema says he wishes the Louisiana native the best, and that the Razorbacks will help him find a new school.

Arkansas opens its season on Aug. 30 at Auburn.
