BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - Officials are reporting a slight increase in attendance at an annual eastern Pennsylvania music festival despite several violent incidents.

A 17-year-old Allentown youth was arrested Sunday on charges alleging that he fired shots into a crowd near Musikfest in Bethlehem on Aug. 5.

Another shooting had taken place a few days earlier and a block away from the festival only 20 minutes before the event concluded for the night.

The (Easton) Express-Times (https://bit.ly/1lOtJVa ) reports that a brass knuckles assault, several robberies and other shots were also reported during the just-concluded festival.

But ArtsQuest spokesman Mark Demko said the incidents didn’t appear to affect attendance, which “appears to be up this year.”

Officials said picture-perfect weather helped draw crowds, and food vendors and artisans reported good sales during the festival.
