FRISCO, Texas (AP) - Police in a north Dallas suburb say they’ve detained a 16-year-old boy in the overnight shootings of his parents.
Frisco police spokesman Colby Hill said in a statement that officers were called to a home at about 2 a.m. Monday after shots were heard.
They found a husband and wife dead. Another police spokesman, Benito Valdez, said others in the house at the time of the shootings were unharmed.
The son has been charged as a juvenile with murder. The Associated Press is not identifying the boy or his parents because he is a juvenile.
Frisco is 25 miles north of downtown Dallas.
