COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police say a 14-year-old girl has been shot to death on a west Columbus street.
The shooting happened just before midnight Monday in the Franklintown neighborhood. Amanda Kirwin was in critical condition when officers found her, and she died later at a hospital.
Police say Kirwin was talking with some friends in the street when the shots were fired and she was hit. A male was seen running from the scene.
It was 62nd homicide in the city in 2014.
