OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) - A Clackamas County grand jury has declined to charge three sheriff’s SWAT team members who fatally shot an armed man during a standoff last month in Molalla.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/5833ZZ ) deputies had been trying to negotiate with 36-year-old Shane Griffin after he was suspected of assaulting his wife who had fled the home with their children.

Clackamas County prosecutor Lewis Burkhart says Griffin was killed about 2 a.m. on July 7 when he confronted officers with a gun in each hand.
