MADRID (AP) - Atletico Madrid says it has signed Mexico forward Raul Jimenez, completing the overhaul of the Spanish champion’s attack.

Atletico says Jimenez will sign a contract after passing a standard medical exam. It did not disclose the length of the contract.

Atletico reportedly paid Mexican club America around 11 million euros ($14.7 million) for Jimenez.

The 23-year-old Jimenez will join fellow newcomers Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich and France forward Antoine Griezmann to comprise Atletico’s completely revamped attack after the departure of Diego Costa, David Villa and Adrian Lopez this summer.

Jimenez helped Mexico win the Olympic gold medal in 2012.

Atletico plays Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup on Aug. 19 and 22 before opening its league title defense on Aug. 25.
