OZARK, Ark. (AP) - An escaped inmate from the Franklin County Detention Center has been captured about 18 miles away in Paris.

The Southwest Times Record reports (https://bit.ly/1mIAath ) 52-year-old Toby Tygart was recaptured Tuesday at a Paris home. The Franklin County sheriff says Tygart walked away from the jail on Sunday afternoon. He did kitchen and painting work at the jail.

A Logan County Sheriff’s Office spokesman says Tygart was taken into custody without incident. He says four other people at the residence were arrested on suspicion of felony hindering apprehension. The spokesman says it isn’t clear how the arrested people know Tygart.
